Essence of Ebony 2012 Challenge 1 – 70’s Fashionista Icon

Hello Friends of my blog!

For those if you that don’t know, I am one of the 17 finalist for the Essence of Ebony 2012 Beauty Pageant, representing the beautiful country of Ethiopia!

This prestige pageant aims to promote  the awareness and beauty of Ebony Models in the SL Fashion Industry.

I have decided to blog my progress for those that wish to keep track of the challenges, to support, or for anyone that is looking for styling inspirations!

Challenge 1 – 70’s Fashionista Icon

Lesley “Twiggy Hornby

Twiggy, 60’s and 70’s Fashion Icon, is my inspiration for my 70’s fashionista styling.  Her sheik, bold ensembles, along with her unique facial features captured my attention, and is also something I can relate to as a new model to the SL modeling industry.  Becoming the world’s first supermodel in the 1960’s and a successful television actress in the 1970’s Twiggy remained a big name in fashion, as well as remaining true to her own personality.  Her timeless fashion and success inspires me as an SL Model, and I hope to mirror her legacy throughout my SL Modeling Career.
